Ramblers News – Updated

Blockley Ramblers now walk mid-week as well as on
Sundays. Depending on Bank Holidays, mid-week walks are being arranged
for the first Tuesday of each month, the walks being similar in length to the Sunday’s i.e. around 4-5 miles.
Keith has stopped arranging all day walks on Thursdays as take up was
not good although we all enjoyed the morning walk and stopping for lunch
in a pub. That will continue I hope.

Walk: Blockley to Upton Wold, Campden Hill Farm and
back.
Distance: 5.5 miles
Leaders: Bernard and Viola Stubbs
Meet:
Blockley Shop & Cafe @ 13.30
Midweek walks
Tuesday 2 November.
Blockley to Bourton Downs and back via Bourton Woods.
Distance 5.5 miles. Moderate.
Meet at the end of the High Street (Dovedale) @ 10.00am.
Thursday November 18.
(Cotswold Wardens’ walk).
One of a series
based on the Donnington Way and its pubs. From Lower Slaughter to (Black
Horse) along the Windrush Way in the morning; from Naunton back to Lower
Slaughter via the Wardens’ Way in the afternoon. Pub lunch available.
Moderate. 9.5 miles.
Meet
at
10.00 am by the church in Lower Slaughter. OS OL 45/165226
NB Everyone
participating in walks does so at her/his own risk and should not leave
the group without informing the leaders. Please ensure that your
clothing/footwear is appropriate to the conditions. If you walk with a
dog, please keep it on the lead when on roads or where live stock is
present. Also, wherever possible, please share cars to avoid congestion
at meeting place.
