Blockley Ramblers

Blockley Ramblers and Cotswold Wardens
What a combination!

Please forgive this blatant trumpet blowing but we just thought you'd all want to see what a powerful and effective combination the Blockley Ramblers and their resident Voluntary Cotswold Wardens are.

On 26 August Don Jowett mentioned to Dick Robinson that there were some stiles near Barton in bad need of repair on the walk he and Irene were to be leading on Sunday 13 September.  With barely time to take breath the Cotswold Wardens network sprang in action. Well, OK, none of us is exactly in our springing prime any longer but you get the picture.

By Tuesday 1 September arrangements had been made to repair said stiles and the job was done the next day by Keith and Dick on one of their regular CW Wednesday work parties, ably assisted (or was it 'supervised') by Simon Mallatratt - another CW from Childswickham.  Here's the evidence:

Just thought you'd like to know.  We hope you enjoy your walk on Sunday 13 September - more info here.
