A bit about me

Contact

Thank you for looking at my website.  I hope you will find it useful.

From time to time everyone has problems which seem too much to handle alone. These might be to do with relationships, depression, stress or anxiety, loss of someone important, a crisis or sudden change, health issues, low esteem, etc. It’s often more helpful to explore personal difficulties outside the network of family or friends and counselling in an accepting and encouraging atmosphere, with an experienced and sympathetic counsellor can really help clarify things and enable you to find new ways of managing your situation.

I have worked for over 16 years in doctors’ surgeries and private practice, counselling individuals and couples, helping them face a wide variety of difficulties and make positive changes in their lives. I don’t judge or criticise but offer you support and time in which to really understand what’s troubling you and explore your options, so you can deal with - or change - your situation.  You can read more about how I work and what to expect, in the section “A bit about me”.

It is really important that you feel comfortable with the counsellor you choose, so I hope you will explore this website to find out more about me, my approach and my counselling experience, in the first instance.  I am also always happy to answer any questions you might have about how I work, what to expect, etc, by phone or email, anytime.  And an initial exploratory session enables you to meet me in person so you can decide whether you’d like us to work together.

Do feel free to get in touch if you would just like to find out more, or to make an initial appointment. All contact is, of course, confidential.
